An exploration of presence through abstract form and gesture.

I paint intuitively, guided by emotion and inner rhythm—each piece a quiet response to what is felt but not always named. These works are meant to be lived with, unfolding slowly, shifting in tone and meaning with time and presence.

Original abstract painting by Ana Cuciuc. Mixed media on canvas. 30”x40”. Signed by the author.

“FIRST FLOW” explores passion as a fluid state — an ongoing curiosity toward experience, movement, and sensation. The composition unfolds through layered gestures and circulating forms, creating a sense of rhythm and flow rather than fixed structure.

Color moves freely across the surface, suggesting warmth, embodiment, and the desire to engage with life fully. The painting does not aim to resolve or contain energy, but to let it travel — inviting the viewer into a relationship with motion, pleasure, and attentiveness.

This work reflects an openness to experience: a willingness to follow impulse, to remain curious, and to stay in conversation with what feels alive. It rewards prolonged viewing, revealing subtle shifts and connections that echo the cyclical nature of desire and presence.

“First Flow” is suited for collectors and designers drawn to contemporary abstract art that feels embodied, intuitive, and quietly sensual — work that carries emotional intelligence and movement into a space.

PERMISSION TO PLAY
$3,600.00

Original abstract painting by Ana Cuciuc. Mixed media on canvas. Signed by the artist

Permission to Play is an invitation to loosen control and follow curiosity without direction. The composition unfolds through light gestures, wandering lines, and moments of color that feel spontaneous and exploratory. Rather than seeking resolution, the painting celebrates movement, surprise, and the pleasure of not needing to arrive anywhere.

Forms appear and dissolve, overlap and drift, creating a visual language that feels intuitive and open. There is a sense of freedom in the way elements interact — a willingness to try, respond, and change course. The work encourages a playful engagement with the present moment, where curiosity is valued over outcome.

This painting speaks to the importance of play as a form of attention — a way of staying alive, open, and receptive. It offers a reminder that creativity does not always require seriousness, and that joy can emerge through openness, experimentation, and trust.

Permission to Play is suited for collectors and designers drawn to contemporary abstract work that carries lightness, intelligence, and emotional generosity.

Meet the artist

When I was 18, I lost my voice—and in that silence, I found something else. I turned inward, and then outward again through creation. What began with jewelry evolved into floral design, and eventually led me to painting—the place where I feel most fully myself.

Painting, for me, is not just a practice. It’s a language. A way of exploring what cannot be spoken. I’m drawn to color, to movement, to the quiet dialogue between shapes and feeling. Each piece is an emotional landscape—intuitive, energetic, and deeply personal.

A woman with long red hair, wearing a white shirt and ripped jeans, is seated on a vintage chair with floral upholstery. She is holding a palette and a brush, painting on a large canvas placed vertically in front of her. The room is filled with art supplies, including brushes in a container on a small table, and artworks on the walls featuring abstract designs.
